Bio

Jamila Pierre has been a photographer for eight years with a special focus on portraitures. Many find the spectrum of portraitures to be very narrow, but she disagrees. She finds the beauty and the story behind every living and non living thing; this is what makes her work worth viewing. She finds perfection in ‘imperfection’ and for the things that are seemingly flawless while bringing out the light and/or darkness that makes the image so breathtaking. Her work was also featured on an international BMX Flatland website.

Jamila has worked on many portfolios and has had a solo showing exhibiting some of her best work of the past two years, and has showcased her work at a merging of the arts event. She has photographed seminars for Mud and Roses and for Village Martial Arts Institute. She dabbles in all types of art in the pursuit of fully understanding the heart of the world and how to best express it to itself.

Jamila has spent the better part of six years in hopes of giving people something to care about and leaving a piece of herself to resonate in the hearts and minds of others.
